THE PATHOLOGY FOUNDATION

HELP STOP THE SPREAD.

Undertaking Venepuncture Training with The Pathology Foundation during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

As a medical education foundation, we take the health, wellbeing and safety of our Staff and Participants very seriously. The Victorian State Government are currently permitting people to partake in educational activities through this turbulent time, providing they do so safely.

The Pathology Foundation are taking the following steps, as recommended by The Victorian Department of Education and Training, to maintain a safe learning environment:

"Students should be reminded to always practice good hygiene and take other measures to protect themselves and others against infection. This includes:
  • Washing their hands often, with soap and water, or carrying hand sanitiser (where permitted) and using it as needed.
  • Covering their mouth when coughing or sneezing, but not using their hands to do so.
  • If unwell, avoiding contact with others (including shaking hands or other touching).
  • Practicing social distancing measures."

Additionally, participants will undertake a Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival and be given COVID-19 PPE, including surgical gloves which they are encouraged to change often. Participants personal items will be stored securely for the duration of the course.

If you are already, or intend to work in the medical field during the Pandemic, we encourage you to register for The Australian Government (Department of Health) - 30-Minute Online Infection Control Training Module in addition to our course.
